Suntory PepsiCo supported front-line forces and the community with nearly 02 million products

In
the fourth wave of Covid-19 pandemic, Suntory PepsiCo continuously provided
urgent support to the pandemic hot spots all over the country with a total
value of up to VND 12,7 billion including cash and nearly 02 million products.
Intending to
constantly give back to society, Suntory PepsiCo conducted a lot of long-term
strategies and activities to support the people and front-line medical forces
in the context of the spreading Covid-19 pandemic.
Quick
responses to the pandemic situation
When the pandemic
situation spread rapidly and complicatedly, the anti-pandemic forces especially
the medical staffs, had to face huge workloads. Recognizing this situation,
Suntory PepsiCo rushed to collaborate with the organizations, agencies to share
and encourage the spirit of the “White blouse heroes” as soon as the fourth
wave of Covid-19 broke out. Accordingly, the company has donated nearly 164,000
bottles under the brands of Goodmood, Revive, Aquafina, Twister to the
front-line forces at 09 provinces/cities, namely: Bac Ninh province, Bac Giang province,
Da Nang city, Ho Chi Minh city, Binh Duong province, Dong Nai province, Can Thơ
province, An Giang province, Phu Quoc province.
Besides, Suntory PepsiCo is determined to join hands with society to let “no one left behind” in the battle with the pandemic, particularly the vulnerable people of society. Specifically, nearly 60,000 products have been supported by the program: “Sharing with children” and “Sharing love”, collaborating with the Central Youth Union to send to F1 children and disadvantaged people in Bac Giang province, Lang Son province and many other provinces.

During this
pandemic wave, the spiritual and material assistance to the health sector
became even more critical. Therefore, the company collaborated with the
program: “Sai Gon loves each other” to donate thousand of presents to the temporary
hospitals.
During the peak period
of July, when the number of infections in the community increased
significantly, doctors and nurses had to combat in tight protective suits under
the sweltering temperatures for hours, Suntory PepsiCo immediately launched the
program "Million wishes - Million bottles give strength the frontlines".
In just one month, the campaign has received tens of thousands of messages,
supportive wishes, the attention of the community for sending to those on the
front-line forces fighting with the pandemic. The company has donated over 1 million
products with more than 50,000 meaningful wishes, encouragements to the
anti-pandemic force in high-risk areas.

What’s more, from
31 of August, Suntory PepsiCo’s employees reacted to the call of the company union,
raised more than 200 million VND to donate the F0 care packages to patients
being treated at home. Each pack contains two portions of medicine, one for
each symptom level, a SpO2 meter, medical mask, hand sanitizer solution,
mouthwash, thermometer, and F0 care instruction. The current Program is still
in place, carrying with it the enthusiastic spirit and all for the community, giving
back to society - which is already the core value of the company.
Stick
to long-term commitments
In addition to the
urgent activities to support pandemic prevention in the “storm center”, Suntory
PepsiCo strives to launch more sustainable and long-term community activities.
In which, the program “Million meals” was co-organized by the company for the
second year, has expanded widely, garnering the support and sharing of many
individuals and organizations all over the country.
Thanks to the program,
hundreds of thousands of meals, necessities have been donated to the
disadvantaged people and households at Ban Giang province, Ba Ninh, province,
Ho Chi Minh city, Nghe An province, Ha Tinh province. This practical presents
have helped them more firmly overcoming the pandemic, as well as spreading the
inherent spirit of sharing and solidarity of the Vietnamese people.

When the fear of
the peak of the pandemic and new variants is still present, returning to the
new normal life become the wishes of everyone, Suntory PepsiCo has donated 5
billion VND to the Vietnam Covid-19 vaccine fund. It is understood that the
pandemic will be defeated only when everyone is vaccinated and Vietnam obtains
herd immunity.

goal of fighting the pandemic, stabilizing the production and supplying goods
for consumers at the same time but also always give priority to activities of giving
back to society, sharing difficulties, supporting the community, especially
during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is also a cross-cutting goal, demonstrating the
long-term commitment of the company.
