SPVB’s Volunteer Program “Warming Tet – Sharing the Flood”: The Trips Full of Love

In the last months of 2016, the Vietnamese turned their hearts to the Central where people are struggling from historical disaster. Consecutive floods had caused many losses in terms of human and capital. Hope raised as many organizations, enterprises and volunteer groups delivered aid to help them recover.

In that situation, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam (SPVB) had taken timely action. From October 2016, the Company raised the program in which employees voluntarily donate for the Central flood victim by their workday allowance. Besides, the Company also called for the support of young generations by the program “Send your wish - Bring kids to school” initiated on Facebook page Suntory PepsiCo Careers in order to widespread the message of love to the kids and people in flooding areas.

The program raised nearly 900 million VND from SPVB and over 120 million VND from PepsiCo Food Company (PFC) as well as over 500 wishes received. With that fund, from January 16th - 19th 2017, SPVB and PepsiCo Food Corperation in cooperation with HCMC Police Newspaper organized the volunteer trip to Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Nam and Binh Dinh. Naming “Warming Tet - Sharing the flood”, the program was the loving trips where employees directly hand over the gifts, which are products from SPVB and PFC, medical equipments, student desks, budget for kindergarten renovation and scholarships for poor students.

We hope that the SPVB volunteer trips will continue to come to more remote areas to deliver joy and motivation to the people – all for the strong and sustainably developing community.
