The Program "Bring Tet Home" in 2022

Following the successful program of “Pepsi brings Tet home” in 2021, this year, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam, Pepsi is partnering with the Central Committee to organize the “Bring Tet home” program in 2022. Pepsi has used the company's budget to help 3,290 disadvantaged students and workers in returning home to celebrate this Tet holiday.

On 08 December 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam held a press conference to officially announce and launch the "Bring Tet home" program in 2022. Attending the conference, the representatives of leaders, delegates of state agencies, departments and branches; the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam and journalists.


 

Compared to 2021, the "Bring Tet home" program in 2022 will have the higher number of reunion tickets from 3000 tickets to 3,290 tickets. In this year, there will be 540 round-trip air tickets, 2,475 round-trip car tickets, 275 round-trip train tickets and meaningful gifts for disadvantaged students and workers who are studying and working in several southern provinces and cities (key focused areas are Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong) and have their hometowns in some central provinces and North. The program will coordinate with Vietnam Airlines to organize 03 flight routes (Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh, Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang), the Saigon railway Joint Stock Company to organize round-trip trains and reputable bus operators to organize 55 trips to the central and northern provinces. Especially in this year's program, besides the sponsored 3,290 tickets, Pepsi brand and the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union will call for donations from the community through ZaloPay e-wallet. With each donation, you will be able to contribute to 1 more train ticket to bring a person home. Together, we can extend the repatriation train, so that no one is left behind during this Lunar New Year.

 

The "Bring Tet home" program in 2022 will start to accept applications from 10 December 2021 to 10 January 2022 through two (02) platforms: Online registration at website mangtetvenha.doanthanhnien.vn or offline registration at the offices of the Southern Central Committee, Ho Chi Minh, Binh Duong and Dong Nai’s Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

 

Registration dossiers include:

 

- Registration form to participate in the program (as template)

- Notarized copy of identity card, household registration book.

- Certificate of difficult family situation, poor household, near-poor household issued by the local government.

- A copy of Certificate or Certificate of Merit related to outstanding achievements in 2021 (if any); or certificate of achievement from workplace or colleges/universities.

- A certificate from the universities, organisations, enterprises or trade union organizations to certify those not returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet due to difficult circumstances (if any); impact by the Covid-19 pandemic (certified by the locality or enterprises).

- A copy of the certificate of merit, certificate of merit, certificate of outstanding achievements in participating in the Youth Union’s activities (if any).

 

In addition, the "Bring Tet home" program in 2022 will organize accompanying activities, specifically as follows:

 

1.             The "Bring Tet home" 2022 fundraising campaign - Join Pepsi to make the longest train home

 

08 December 2021 – 05 January 2021, Organizers and Pepsi call for organizations, businesses and individuals to jointly raise funds to "Bring Tet home" on the ZaloPay e-wallet platform. The funds will be used to buy more train tickets for students, young people and workers with difficult circumstances to go home to celebrate Tet. Pepsi hopes that there are more additional contributions from the community, there are more reunion trips to take people to go home and be reunited. Together, we will make the longest and most meaningful trip back home in this Tet of 2022.

 

2.             Photo Contest "Tet Reunion"

 

Each individual/group participating in the contest submits photos to the contest based on weekly topics provided by the Organizers. The contest will take place at the website mangtetvenha.doanthanhnien.vn, the photos will then be posted and voted directly on the fan page BringTet home 2022.

 

Each individual/group sends submission including 01 image according to weekly themes such as images of medical staff, doctors fighting the pandemic, frontline blue-shirt forces against pandemic (police, army, youth union members,...) or images of family reunion accompanied by messages of spreading positive energy towards the community.

 

3.              Bring Tet Home” Festival

 

In order for providing more valuable meaning for students, young workers to experience the typical traditional values of the Tet, the Organizers will organize “Bring Tet Home” festival to pack 4,000 Banh Chung as a gift for students and young workers participating in the “Bring Tet Home” program in 2022. Simultaneously, the Organizers will present awards to the winners of the photo contest “Tet Reunion”.


 

At the press conference, Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union stated that: “Bring Tet home” program in 2020 is in the series of programs on accompanying and supporting the youth at all levels of the Youth Union and Association; demonstrating the enthusiasm, responsibility of the youth in this hard year for the entire society with the heavy impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. Through this program, the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union wishes to continue to expand the positive values, message widely in the society, from that the unions and organizations in society will continue to have more meaningful activities, accompanying the youth with the difficult situation, especially in the Lunar New Year. Under this program, it will create more motivation for young people and students to keep working hard in learning and working; join hands in the recovery and socio-economic development of the country".

On the journey of "Bring Tet home" for the second year, in addition to sponsoring more than 3,000 pairs of tickets to go home, Pepsi would like the community to join hands to donate additional pairs of Tet train tickets. With more community donations, more trains returning home, we believe that just by joining hands together, everyone may enjoy a full and happy Tet!
