On December 2, 2022, in Hanoi, Suntory Group and Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage (Suntory PepsiCo) held a ceremony to summarize the 8-year journey of the program "Mizuiku - I love clean water". in Viet Nam.
Based on Suntory's "Sustainable Water Philosophy", Suntory Group is always committed to creating activities that promote water protection, and "Mizuiku" is an educational initiative about nature and water created by Suntory Group in Japan since 2004.
Receiving a strong support in Japan and with the desire to influence widely to people around the world, from 2015, the program "Mizuiku - I love clean water" has been officially deployed in Vietnam, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam is proud to be the first company that Suntory Group chooses to deploy the Mizuiku program outside of Japan. Together with all the sustainable development of Suntory PepsiCo and commitment to contribute to the community where Suntory PepsiCo operates, “Mizuiku – I love clean water” program is now under the pillar “Water”, which is one of the key sustainability focuses of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam.
Throughout the 8-year journey of implementing "Mizuiku - I love clean water” program in Vietnam has gain significant results and made a huge social impact to the communities. The program has 137,000 primary students participate in water conservation training courses, 4.203 classes on educating water resources are widely disseminated. The program also contributes to improving facilities for more than 131 clean water installation in primary schools.
